Director’s Welcome

Welcome to the Somerhill Kids Education Initiative (SKEI). What began as a humble childcare and education project has grown into a dedicated mission to transform young lives across Uganda. In 2022, we officially re-named our organization to reflect our expanding vision and deepening commitment to the children and communities we serve. Every day, we are driven by the belief that every child deserves a safe place to learn, grow, and thrive, regardless of their circumstances.

Our core programs are designed to meet the holistic needs of our children. Through early childhood development, foundational primary education, and essential nutritional and health support, we ensure that our students are not just learning, but truly flourishing. We pour our hearts into creating a nurturing environment where vulnerable children can discover their potential and build a foundation for a brighter future.

Looking ahead, our current goals focus on expanding our classrooms, enhancing our learning resources, and reaching more families in need. We cannot do this vital work alone. Whether you are a first-time visitor, a potential partner, or a future donor, we invite you to join our journey and help us write the next chapter for Uganda's children.
